The Cost Disease is a book originally published in the 1960s, but the authors have recently updated and republished the book last month. The book mainly discusses why the cost of services such as education and health care will always rise more than goods such as cars, computers, etc. Mainly it is because these services are so labor intensive that technological advancements that bring down the cost of other goods really can’t be applied to education and health care. It’s a good reference and read for anyone that works in the health field or is interested about the topic of health care reform
